The OMMU qualified-physician roster includes hundreds of certifying physicians in Miami-Dade. For University Conduct Questions

UM, FIU, MDC, M-DCPS, St. Thomas, Barry, and Florida Memorial all have their own DFSCA-compliant cannabis policies and student-conduct processes. Each university’s Office of Student Conduct or Office of the Dean of Students is the appropriate first point of contact for student-conduct questions. Students facing serious sanctions should consult the university’s student-advocate office and a Florida-licensed attorney.

For Federal-Workplace Questions

If you work for a DOT-regulated employer, the Department of Defense, Homestead Air Reserve Base, the Coast Guard, the FBI, federal contractors at MIA or PortMiami, the cruise lines (Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Norwegian, MSC), or any other federally-tested position, the Florida medical-cannabis recommendation does not protect you. Consult an employment attorney before any cannabis-related decision.

For Immigration Questions

Cannabis convictions carry severe immigration consequences for non-citizens under INA §212. Even Miami-Dade civil-citation incidents can complicate immigration status in some pathways. The American Immigration Lawyers Association Florida chapter is a starting referral source for non-citizen residents (Cuban, Venezuelan, Colombian, Mexican, Haitian, etc.) with cannabis-related immigration concerns.
